Buffer constrained DNO connectionsWith over a decade of hands-on delivery, we combine 13 years of EV charging mastery with innovative battery storage systems that unlock power on grid-constrained sites.
13 years of direct electrical contracting and ultra-rapid DC engineering (150kW to 400kW+). We architect, procure, and build mission-critical commercial fleet depots, e-bus charging hubs, highway charging corridors, and high-density retail destination networks.
When DNO substation upgrades face 2 to 4-year grid connection delays or multi-million-pound quotes, we deploy Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) combined directly with EV chargers. The BESS buffers low grid capacity, boosts peak charging delivery, and eliminates project lockouts.
Completing the zero-carbon loop. We integrate commercial rooftop arrays and solar carports directly into the on-site BESS and EV charger microgrid, maximizing local self-consumption and driving down operational charging kWh costs.
Traditional on-site civil works are slow, vulnerable to unpredictable UK weather, and introduce heavy multi-trade risk. EBN leverages deep tier-one supply chains and factory prefabrication to get sites live in record time.
High-power DC switchgear, distribution boards, containment, and BESS sub-assemblies are fully constructed within dry, controlled indoor factory conditions.
Ground preparation and off-site assembly happen concurrently. We eliminate months of open trenches, rain delays, and multi-contractor congestion on your live operational premises.
Fully pre-tested skids arrive on site for immediate craning and final drop-in connection. This slashes on-site construction schedules by up to 50% compared to traditional builds.
Tailored engineering and delivery strategy for organizations scaling electrification and overcoming energy constraints.
Local authorities rolling out public EV hubs, fleet depot conversions, and low-carbon infrastructure.
Healthcare estates requiring critical power resilience, fleet electrification, and energy cost mitigation.
Charge Point Operators requiring rapid hub deployment, DNO grid unlocking, and modular skid packaging.
Commercial and estate owners unlocking site revenue via battery storage and high-power charging leases.
Infrastructure funds requiring technical due diligence, CapEx validation, and low-risk delivery models.

FRED SHERWOOD
Direct feedback and verified commercial outcomes across ultra-rapid CPO networks, utility connection programmes, and commercial heavy-fleet microgrids.
“Chris was able to quickly realise a substantial time and cost saving with our standard EV charger base designs. Instead of using precast concrete imported from Europe, he engineered a universal design for our three standard unit types and sourced a specialist local fabricator. The savings were not only financial but environmental across our UK network rollout.”

“Chris has worked closely with our Projects and Electrical Connections teams to make our delivery on large-scale rollouts significantly more efficient. By introducing bespoke precast bases, off-site pre-commissioning of chargers, and refined logistics, we are now saving 4 days on 10-day projects. These 40% time savings have been exceptionally well received by clients.”

“Chris delivered an innovative microgrid solution to offset limited grid supplies across three of our depots. By combining 1MVA of battery energy storage (BESS) with 200kW of solar, we unlocked up to 400kW charging capability for our electric truck fleet. In addition to powering our transition, we have benefited from substantially reduced energy costs and lower standing charges.”

With over 13 years dedicated strictly to the electric vehicle charging and electrical contracting sectors, Chris Everitt brings unparalleled operational experience and technical credibility to EBN Consulting.
In 2013, Chris established EV Charging Solutions (EVCS), leading the rollout of rapid DC infrastructure during the initial dawn of the UK's EV transition. Over a decade of proven delivery culminated in the successful acquisition of EVCS by telematics and fleet titan Radius Limited of Crewe in January 2023.
Through EBN Consulting, Chris connects commercial clients, CPOs, and developers directly to trusted industry supply chains, off-site fabrication methods, and innovative BESS-integrated systems that overcome traditional grid bottlenecks.
